Thank you for your interest in the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition, and Liver diseases Fellowship Training Program at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The mission of our program is to provide an exceptional education for our fellows in an environment which fosters self-directed learning, meaningful mentorship, and collaboration. Our curriculum is rigorous, engaging, and effective, which fosters clinical excellence and compassionate care.
The program is based at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, a tertiary care children’s hospital located in Providence, Rhode Island, which serves a diverse and medically complex patient population. As it is the only children’s hospital in the state, we serve patients from Rhode Island, Eastern Connecticut, and Southeast Massachusetts. We have a busy endoscopy service and our fellows have ample opportunity to develop into adept proceduralists.
As fellows progress through our program, their maturation as subspecialists is fostered by the faculty who promote increasing responsibility and independence. Ultimately, our program provides fellows with the supervision, guidance, and mentoring to become competent gastroenterologists with excellent clinical skills, research skills, medical knowledge, and humanistic qualities necessary to become successful members of the health care community.
